On June 24, 2022, the Philippine High School for the Arts (PHSA) held its first face to face moving up rites and graduation ceremony at the National Arts Center’s (NAC) Tanghalang Maria Makiling after two years. In this event, only the Grades 10 to 12 were invited, along with a maximum of two companions for each student. In line with the pandemic guidelines, everyone was required to wear face masks and keep social distance at all times.
The card giving event for the two completing batches were also held face to face at the school area, after each event respectively.

Pagtatapos, what is known to be the Grade 12 Graduation Ceremony for PHSA students, started at 2 in the afternoon with Grade 11 Visual Arts student Rasheed Manalo in charge with the budyong and Grade 10 Music major Zion Montebon playing Awit ng Kabataan for the processional. This was then followed by the entrance of colors featuring Grade 11 Creative Writing student Sidney Lampayan, Grade 11 Visual Arts students Jandiv Gutierez and Aaliyah Maneja, Grade 11 Folk Dance major Vita San Juan, and Grade 11 Theatre Arts student Abigail Ravalo.
In the event, graduating Visual Arts majors Vien Danielle P. Husana and Luce Domini F. Melegrito delivered Pasasalamat at Pamamaalam speeches, while guest speakers choreographer Ms. Myra Beltran and playwright Sir Chris Millado impart messages of inspiration to the students. Class 1982 Aquino alumnus and filmmaker Reymond Red also shared with the graduates a short message as part of Alumnayan. Various intermission numbers and special performances were done by Junior High members of Sanghiyas Pangkat Mananayaw, the Grade 10 Ballet majors Gian Mikkel Ivan A. Bola and Alyanna Dexel R. Torte, and graduating Music majors Emanuel John C. Villarin and Lizzie Bett S. Estrada.

Clad in Filipiniana-inspired outfits, the 22 students of Batch Alice Reyes - Francisco Feliciano (Batch Reyesiano)–composed of two Creative Writing majors, seven Dance majors, four Music majors, three Theater Arts majors and six Visual Arts majors–finish their six years in Makiling with academic awards ranging from With Honors to With
Highest Honors and Natatanging Gawad Para sa Kahusayang Pansining, as well as extracurricular recognition and CCP-PHSA Scholarship Grant.
In the academic awards, six students graduated With Honors, nine graduated With High Honors, while students Lizzie Bett S. Estrada, Emanuel John C. Villarin, Lei Angeli E. Ortega, Niña Moira L. De Castro and Luce Domini F. Melegrito finished With Highest Honors.
The Natatanging Gawad Para sa Kahusayang Pansining was received by Creative Writing major Ezra E. Estrañero, Dance majors Lia Therese N. Cuarto, Niña Moira L. De Castro and Jerl Marydwyn B. Quejada, Music majors Alyssa Tricia L. Garcia, Lizzie Bett S. Estrada and Emanuel John C. Villarin, Theater Arts major Natalie Denyse Q. Maligalig, and Visual Arts major Lei Angeli E. Ortega.
The CCP-PHSA Scholarship Grant was awarded to the following students: Daniel G. Ben (Creative Writing), Niña Moira L. De Castro (Dance-Ballet), Glen Marie M. Balela (Dance - Folk), Emanuel John C. Villarin (Music-Violin), Natalie Denyse Q. Maligalig (Theater Arts), and Luce Domini F. Melegrito (Visual Arts).
Students Emanuel John C. Villarin and Alyssa Tricia L. Garcia were also recognized for their extracurricular achievements during A.Y. 2021-2022.
The event concluded with the graduating students reciting the Panunumpa ng Katapatan and the tradition of hitting the gong.

This was then followed by the entrance of colors featuring Grade 11 Creative Writing student Sidney Lampayan, Grade 11 Visual Arts students Jandiv Gutierez and Aaliyah Maneja, Grade 11 Folk Dance major Vita San Juan, and Grade 11 Theatre Arts student Abigail Ravalo.
Class 1984 Juan Luna alumna Ms. Lalaine Juarez-Pereña gave the inspirational speech for the event while guest speaker Class 2002 Goquingco-Buenaventura alumna Ms. Toniliz S. Muñoz, a band member of folk/pop rock group Ben&Ben, shared experiences from her artistic endeavors in a short message accompanied by an acapella song from their band. Both guest speakers delivered their speeches in a pre-recorded video due to unforeseen circumstances.
In the event, the Grade 10 Musika Ibarang performed two intermission numbers under the guidance of Sir Arjay Viray.
Moving up with 48 students comprised of six Creative Writing majors, eight Ballet majors, nine Folk Dance majors, six Music majors, nine Theater Arts majors and 11 Visual Arts majors, Batch Manuel Conde - Eddie Romero (Batch Coro) celebrates and moves forward to Senior High level with awards ranging from With Honors to With Highest Honors, Natatanging Gawad Para sa Kahusayang Pansining, and extracurricular awards and recognition attained during this school year. The students wore semi-formal attires in black, white, gray and gold.
In the academic awards, 20 students completed With Honors, 19 students completed With High Honors, and two Creative Writing students–Victoria Mae D. Cuevas and Maria Rilke C. Arguelles–achieved the award With Highest Honors.
